DIY Workshops CURTIS MILLER’S passion is creating a service that exceeds his customers’ needs, facilitates rural life and builds community. Curtis spent the years during college working in construction where he honed his skills and developed a passion for exacting craftsmanship. After graduation, several years as a pastor gave Curtis some of the important tools necessary in working with people. Time in ministry and 15 years owning a construction company deepened his desire to see real needs met and people empowered to dream big. LOREN SICKLES derives immense satisfaction from helping people successfully complete their building projects. Having worked in all aspects of the construction process, Loren now strives to raise the level of professionalism within the industry. He continually seeks to increase his own knowledge and skills through conferences, workshops and certifications such as ICC and CESCL. Loren pursued Graphic Arts during college and a decade beyond before embarking on his career in the building industry. How to Build Green JONATHAN CAMPBELL: Although he is owner of Green Depot Inc., your source for sustainable building solutions, Jonathan is more than a business owner. He is the epitome of problem solving. His approach is based on partnership and cooperation. With a broad knowledge of green products, their application and many connections in the green industry; Jonathan can help you figure out what you need and how to implement it. WES WILSON: Owner of Eagle Institute, Wes’ enthusiastic focus is providing expertise for high performance, energy efficient and healthy buildings. His strategic Alliance Team is made up of some of the most practical and forward thinking people in the Northwest. If you want to know how to save energy or create a healthier environment in your home, shop or barn; Wes is your guy. His team makes up all the rest. Equestrian Construction ROB ZIMMERMAN: Rob is a local rancher and horse trainer who has become an expert on equestrian facilities over the years. After farming and ranching in Idaho for 25 years, he can now be found most days working with his customers’ horses on his Ridgefield ranch. He is a regular at Horse Expos and Reining Shows. He also consults on a one to one basis with people developing their own facilities. With life skills and wisdom earned from hard work in the real world, Rob will be able to help you or your horse. CLIFF WEYGANDT: Cliff is a regular on the rodeo circuit with his family of bull riders and barrel racers. He and his wife Wendee have owned horses together for over 25 years. He is a true beneficiary of the trial and error method of facility development. They have managed Creek Side stables for the last 15 years. Cliff is also an investor in the lives of people. His down to earth common sense and humor will provide what you need for turning your barn into a safe and useful place for all the members of your family. How to Build a Pole Building MARK MARTIN: Mark has more than 25 years of extensive experience in the construction industry. He is an innovator who glories in old world craftsmanship. He has an uncanny ability to figure out the building needs of his customers and the most appropriate way to facilitate them. We call him the witch doctor. Mark also has a teacher's heart and holds a degree in philosophy. SEAN KRAMER: Sean also has more than 25 years in the construction industry (he and Mark are about the same age). He is a long time Woodland resident and knows just about everyone. He is a get ‘er done kind of guy who is serious about craftsmanship. He has forgotten more than most people know about pole buildings and has personally built more than most of the local companies. Sean is great at coaching DIYs and is inexhaustible when it comes to field experience. If you have a question, Sean has done it; so don’t be afraid to ask. |
